We decided to grab a bite at Peter's Since 1969.
For a drink, I chose to go with their signature Sangria.

I was starving and decided to have the 1/4 chicken,
mac & cheese, sweet potatoes and cornbread.

We had a nice time roaming around in the beautiful weather.
Before we hit the Tender Trap, I decided to grab a snack at Momofuku Milk Bar.
The Cereal Milk soft serve ice cream with the Corn Flake crunch is heavenly.
I definitely recommend checking this place out.

I ended the night just hanging at Tender Trap and chatting away about art.
It was a simple, yet great day.

once again to soak up this amazing sunshine.
We decided to have lunch at Jin before deciding what to do with the rest of our day.
This place has such great happy hour deals -
Only 3$ each for drinks, sushi and small dishes.

It didn't have much flavor and was a tad on the mushy side.
Not as great as I thought it would be.
I'm not sure why, but Sugar was a little disappointing on this visit.
I hope they get back on track because I used to love them!
Finally, it was time to make our way towards the Whitney Museum...
I finally got to experience Alexander Calder's "Circus",
Lee Krasner's "The Seasons" and Eva Hesse's hanging work, "Untitled".
Quite impressive.
In the staircase: Running Man - Jonathan Borofsky.
Now, onto the 2012 Biennial...

Sketch for Consuelo - Eyre de Lanux, 1905-1992.
Sketches of Women - Eyre de Lanux, 1905-1992.
I really enjoyed these sketches, they reminded me of sitting in a Parisian cafe.

Unfortunately did not have a chance to jot down the title and artist of this installation.
Paint Me a Cavernous Waste Shore - Elaine Reichek, 2009-10.
Untitled - Kai Althoff, 2011.
I really enjoyed this installation because there were so many different aspects to observe.
You could walk around and around it and still notice something different each time.
Ankoku 6 (Yellow Umbrella) - Richard Hawkins, 2012.

Ankoku 3 (Direct Translation - Danae) - Richard Hawkins, 2012.
Ankoku 2 (Direct Translation - Guernica) - Richard Hawkins, 2012.
I really enjoyed these collages, mainly due to the major references to art history.

More of those collages by Richard Hawkins that I loved...
Salome Painting: Smoke Smoke - Richard Hawkins, 2012.
Ankoku 5 (Direct Translation - de Kooning's Women) - Richard Hawkins, 2012.
The Noble Carbunkle - Forrest Bess, 1960.
Made Sunday brunch: Apple streudel pancakes with bacon.
Ah, what a beautiful past few days... Thursday was relaxing, Friday was inspiring and Saturday was so much fun... Since the weather was so beautiful, I decided to re-visit the Brooklyn Museum with a friend of mine, who is an amazing artist, by the way. We browsed the museum, roamed Carroll Gardens, enjoyed a quick lunch outside while watching the sunset then ventured off to Barnes & Noble, just so we could read some children's books. I kept the partying to a minimum this weekend due to the fact that I have a final paper to write for my Renaissance Art class, which is due tomorrow. I feel so satisfied after the last few days - Emotionally, physically, mentally and spiritually. Now that it's lazy Sunday, I think I'm finally ready to sit down and get this paper done.
Thanks for reading!
