KITTEN KLAN CELEBRATES.

Gel manicure done at Valley NYC.
The nail technicians were amazing, but the owner
doesn't deserve the business...
She does not know how to treat her customers.
Read my review HERE.
My birthday was on April 22nd, so on the 20th, I partied hard...
Then on Saturday, the 21st, my Momma organized a small birthday dinner at
one of my all-time favorite restaurants, Vamos.
The food was delicious, as always and the drinks kept flowing.
It was a great way to ring in my birthday at midnight!
Hello Kitty macarons from Laduree.
The perfect treats for a kitten, from my Momma!

Just some girly bonding at the Morgan.
Small brunch:
Scrambled eggs with cheese and tomatoes on toasted ciabatta bread
and strawberry spinach salad with balsamic vinaigrette.
As some of you may know,
I organized and hosted an event on April 25th at Lit Lounge in NYC.
The event was a spin-off of Get Active's original "Freshman Class",
but having it in my hands, I turned it into a ladies-only showcase,
with one idea in mind: TO CELEBRATE THE PUSSYCAT.
The turnout was amazing, everyone who contributed did wonderful
and Kitten Klan is definitely turning this into a bi-monthly event...
Purr-fect success!

Later on that evening, we decided to try this new
Mexican spot, Taqueria, that I'd been scoping out for the past few months.
Delicious decision.

For starters, the guacamole and chips.
I am a huge lover of guacamole, I try it everywhere that I go.
Believe me when I tell you that this was the best guacamole I've ever had.
In my entire life.
I had the chicken flautas with rice and beans.
They were crispy and flavorful, everything that I was looking for.
As for the rice and beans, I wasn't too enthused.
The rice was a little bland and I don't eat beans,
so my opinion is invalid.
The steak and onions plate with rice and beans.

The following day, with the weather being so enjoyable,
my main kitten and I headed out for lunch.
We decided to try this newly opened fried pizza place, La Montanara.

I started with the Montanara pizza.
The dough is so light and perfectly crispy.
I enjoyed every bite.
Up next, I had the Arancino:
Rice ball filled with tomato, mozzarella and basil.
Absolute perfection.

Alys had the Marinara pizza.
She also praised the dough.

We then shared the Pizzella alla Nutella:
Small pizza filled with Nutella and almonds.
HEAVEN.

A few hours passed and we decided it would be wise (not really) for us to grab a snack.
Doughnut Plant seemed like a pretty positive move,
so we grabbed two for us to share...
The Creme Brulee donut... Where do I even start?
From the outside crunch to the creamy filling,
everything about this donut is... just... correct.

The Strawberry Cake donut:
Fruity, sweet, moist and tastes like Spring.

Hi.

This post has been ready for a few days, I've just been procrastinating on posting it because I know I needed to write about something, I just had no idea what to write. Things are changing for me, quickly. School is flying by and lately, I've just had exam on top of exam on top of exam. I've been doing well, so that's a plus. My birthday is this weekend (4/22) and of course, I'm torn between feeling excited and then feeling like I'm getting old. The festivities are in order, so prepare for a re-cap by the next post. I've also been trying to get my travel plans in order for the next few months. I'm planning on re-visiting both Philly and D.C. My mother and I are also planning another mother/daughter trip to London and Berlin by the end of the summer and I'd also really love to re-visit Paris during the colder seasons. I have so much film to get developed, so please bear with me and also stay tuned for a Spring haul and "favorites" video.

I hope you've all been wonderful.
Thanks for reading!
