The following works are by the artist Greg Haberny -
This happened to be my favorite part/room of the fair:
Snow White & the Seven Crackheads - Mixed media on wood, 15 x 28 inches.
Currently selling for 1850$.
I was planning on hoaxing my Momma into purchasing this piece called "Recycled Nation"
by this super talented artist. I even went as far as picking up the price list,
but I had to let that idea go when I discovered this piece is currently selling at 3200$.
...Maybe one day.
Chanel - Mixed media on wood, 12 x 18 inches.
Currently selling for 1750$.
Didn't catch the name of this piece, but it was in the center of the room.
Pretty hilarious and attention grabbing, if you ask me.
God Save the Queen - House paint on nylon, 17 x 12 inches.

United We Owe - Mixed media on wood, 4 x 6 inches.

GREG HABERNY'S PERSONAL WEBSITE.
I seriously suggest checking out his website. Not only is he an artist who
is politically, environmentally, socially and economically aware, he's also hilarious.
I recommend clicking the "LETTERS" link to help brighten your day.

Couldn't resist myself... This playground was too cool for me to pass up.
This Saturday, we were off to later than usual of a start. Originally planning on visiting the Guggenheim Museum, we decided to attend the NYC Fountain Art Fair, which was held in Chelsea - Pier 66, on 26th and 12th. It was 10 dollar admission and we were there from about 7pm to 12am. Upon entering, we were greeted with massive amounts of up and coming, contemporary artists. It was extremely enjoyable and well worth the experience. The artists and gallery associates were super welcoming and friendly, willingly explaining their own works or the works they were there representing. There were also a few live performance artists, which made the experience very real and attention catching. You were also able to purchase the works on the spot, as well as pick up the artists' cards and gallery information. Around 10pm, the performances began, and then finally the last and final performance by Ninjasonik (what we were all waiting for, of course). All in all, it was a great time with great art and great people. I really enjoyed the atmosphere, so I can't wait until this time comes back around. After the Fair, we headed out on a walk in search of the afterparty, but as usual - Boyfriend and I were starving, so we sidetracked for some late-night Pop Burger, then decided to head home. Hope you all enjoyed reading and get to check out this fair next time around... Can't wait to see what's in store for next year!
