GREAT LAWN, GREAT DAY.

This past weekend was pretty amazing. On Friday, boyfriend and I had date night. We enjoyed simple dinner at GoodBurger, then decided to see Get Him to the Greek, which was absolutely hilarious. On Saturday, we had brunch at the nearby diner, then headed to Soho to do a little shopping. There was a street festival going on and I got to eat some watermelon! Afterwards, several of my friends went over to the Great Lawn in Central Park to relax and lounge. We had such a great time and I'm so glad that it didn't storm. It did drizzle for a few minutes, but luckily we came prepared with umbrellas for the mini shower. Once we were all tired out, we came back to the apartment for some Chinese food, chit-chat and games. Boyfriend left today, but will be back this upcoming Friday for 4th of July weekend. We're planning on having a BBQ on the 3rd and having people over on the 4th to see the fireworks on the river, which is right outside my mom's apartment. Summer is off to a great start. This is also the last week of my Political Theory course, thank God. I really he gives the midterm back to us tomorrow, mainly because I'm pretty sure I really well. Anyways, hope it's going just as great for all of you! Ciao, babies.

Plus an ice cold lemonade.
Yummy snacks for boyfriend + I.

Been a while since we've taken one of these.

Yum, late night snack: Bananas with peanut butter + Nutella.

I just really like this photo.
This past weekend was quite lovely - Hot and humid, but lovely. I stayed over my mom's last Thursday night. We had dinner at Vamos, where I had my usual: Guacamole/tortilla chips, Arrachera + Corn on the Cob, so delicious. Afterward, we headed home and tuned into the Real Housewives of NYC Reunion together. My mom + I get along really well, so our night was full of humor and enjoyment. The following day - Friday - Her and I headed to Soho to pick up my vintage Chanel bags from the store. They were finally ready! I dropped them off back in February for repair and touch-ups, since they aren't new and were a tad bit worn. These bags were handed down to me by my mom + they are so valuable to me. I try my best to always take the best care of them. Chanel did an amazing job! The bags look absolutely brand new. I am super impressed... But why wouldn't I be, this is Chanel we're talking about here. Anyways, afterward, we went hunting for a place to have some lunch before my bus to Philadelphia to see boyfriend. We decided to stop and eat at Delicatessen, which is right in Soho. I can't believe I've never eaten here before. It's quite similar to Cafeteria, but I was actually far more impressed with the menu (except the dessert part) than I normally am with Cafeteria's (although I still love that place). Lunch was yummy, as pictured above. I then headed off to Philadelphia for the weekend. Friday night, we got some dinner from Whole Foods and just relaxed. Saturday we spent the day shopping around, enjoying chicken cheesesteaks + indulging in some Rita's water ice - My favorite! We stopped at this new and adorable candy shop, where we picked up a bag full of sweets + some cotton candy. I left Philly early, since Sunday was Father's Day. Luckily, I have an amazing dad, so I got to spend some quality time with him. I had off from Classical Philosophy today, so I was only stuck attending Political Theory... Better than having a full day, I suppose. My midterm for Political Theory is on Wednesday and the study sheet he provided us with is actually decent, so I'm glad. Over the weekend I purchased a few new items, including some new MAC lipstick + some hair products. I'll share some more info about them within the next entry. Also, I'd greatly appreciate if you "hype" my newest look on Lookbook.nu. Any vlog/blog suggestions? Let me know. Hope you all enjoyed reading + hope all is well with everyone. Ciao, lovers.

ENTER THE VANITY.

Since I posted that photo of myself in the mirror of my vanity,
I've been receiving a lot of notes asking me what all of that crap is.
I decided to finally use my new camera for video +
create a vlog on what's on and inside the drawer of my vanity.
I hope you all enjoy.
Last weekend, boyfriend + I stopped in at the Naked Chocolate Cafe in Philly.
He had the Strawberry Patch Cooler with a blueberry muffin,
I had the Frozen Chocolate - Regular blend w/ whipped cream.
This place is the closest thing on Earth to Heaven (if you love chocolate).
Can't wait to go back.

Hello, loves.

Anyways, summer courses have started and for the most part, they're okay. One of my courses (Intro to Political Theory) is 4 hours, but luckily it's only 3 weeks, so I'm impatiently waiting for it to end. By tomorrow, I'll have one whole week down. Lately, I'm just really suffering from a lack of sleep and some really severe headaches... Which I'm definitely not enjoying and seriously can't shake for shit. I can't wait until August... The month that I will 100% completely have to myself - No responsibilities and a vacation. Aside from school, everything is going well. I plan on hanging with my mom tomorrow. I also need to ask my dad to trim my hair by the beginning of next week because the ends are so dead, I can't take it anymore. I've been on a serious hunt for a brand new summer facial cleanser and moisturizer. As shown in the video: I picked up the L'Oreal Go 360 Clean with the scrublet and the Pond's Dry Skin Cream. I've only been using them for about two to three days and I am absolutely in love with them. I've started up a brand new "before-bed" regimen and it's been working pretty nicely for me. I've also started stretching and doing minor floor workouts in the evening. I hope I keep up with it because normally when I start things like this - mainly working out, I don't. Anyways, that's about all for now. I'm pretty exhausted and about to watch Work of Art: The Next Great Artist on Bravo. Hope you're all having a lovely week. Ciao, babydolls.

GIRL'S NIGHT IN/LOVELY EVENING OUT.

Tuesday - June 8th, 2010.
Decided to have a relaxing day of bonding with some of my closest girls.
Sue Z, Iman and Neesha came to visit me. Iman and I teamed up and prepared
some delicious dinner, we played a board game, chatted it up and watched
the latest episodes of The Hills and The City. It was a lovely day.
Prepping the marinade.
Picking up some Mike's Hard Lemonades +
some Smirnoff Blueberry Lemonades.

Snap.
Sharing is caring.

Iman + I teamed up when it came to making the Curry Chicken.
I started the job, but she finished it.

So delicious.
Hilarious game, we really enjoyed playing it.

No means no.
My nails this week:
Sally Hansen Hard As Nails Xtreme Wear polish in Black Out,
with Matte About You by Essie (to create horizontal stripes).

Thursday - June 10th, 2010.

Nathan's, Coney Island.

I have been craving corn dogs lately, so that's exactly what
I decided to get... Plus a regular hot dog, cheese fries + a large lemonade.

Coney Island's Parachute Jump.
Built in 1939, but has been inactive since 1968...
Yet it will always be a landmark.

This is my favorite photo because that's my
dad in the window picking out sweets.

My Daddy.
