VIVA GLAM.

MAC's Viva Glam Gaga + Viva Glam Cyndi.

I went absolutely insane for these, particularly for Lady Gaga's. I didn't really plan on purchasing Cyndi Lauper's (although I definitely do love her), but fortunately enough for me, my picked it up + passed it my way. Of course, there were no complaints here. If any of you pay attention to my make-up posts, or even my tweets, you know that I think MAC is a piece of shit (for
the most part)... Don't worry, I still believe this. But I did this for Gaga + Cyndi: I love both of them + can't wait to try these lipsticks out. On another note, my glasses are ready to picked up, so I plan on getting them this week. While I'm at it, I need to drop 2 of my bags off at Chanel to be cleaned + redyed. That's one thing I love about designer items, they always take care of them for you, no matter what. The stores are willing to fix them, clean them, etc. Luckily, Chanel even cleans + redyes them for free. My bags are vintage (circa 1980's), so they are in desperate need to be touched up, especially since one is bright pink + the other is light brown. I've been meaning to drop them off for a while, but I hate parting with them. I think I need to suck it up because their exteriors are suffering. Anyways, I have this week off from school... March 1st it all starts over again. I'm looking forward to it because I have a pretty nice schedule. I'm also looking forward to registering for summer courses, so I need to get on that my first week back. I plan on taking boyfriend to the movies this weekend, hopefully to see Shutter Island. I can't wait to see it, along with Alice in Wonderland + Sex and the City 2... I might also want to see The Crazies. The movie Cold Souls comes out of DVD the first week in March, I need to pick that up ASAP, as well. Has anybody seen it? We missed it while it was in theaters (unfortunately). What movies have you guys seen lately? Any good reviews/recommendations? Fill me in, lovelies. I hope all is well. :)

MOMMY DATE + VDAY WKND.

My new leather over-the-knee Miuray boots.
We found them @ Bloomingdales in the designer shoe salon.
I love them, but I definitely need to have them waterproofed + polished.
...And yes, I broke my "no more shoes" promise to myself.
But my mom bought them for me, so did I really?
Boobie got me the book that I wanted so badly for Valentine's Day.
This is one of the sweetest books I've ever come across.
So lucky.

Newest make-up purchases:
YSL Rouge Volupte lip stick, #10: Provocative Pink.
YSL Pure Gloss lip gloss, #5: Pure Fuchsia.
So glad I picked up both of these, so rich + beautiful.

Had the best date w/ my momma.
She did me a favor + splurged on some new bras
for me @ Bloomingdales, since buying bras is such a hassle.
Yeah, she definitely spoils me...
But we have an amazing relationship.

Newest hair pick-ups:
John Frieda's Root Awakening shampoo +
Palmer's Coconut Oil Formula Repair conditioner.

Ordered The Spike Lee Joint Collection of DVD's last week.
It finally came today... So glad because these are classics.
This collection includes:
Crooklyn, Mo' Better Blues, Do the Right Thing,
Jungle Fever + Clockers.

Hey, lovers... The date with my mom went swell. Our first stop was @ the eye doctor, luckily that went great. My new prescription is very small + super similar to my current prescription. We then ran to Selima Optique in Soho, where I picked up the cutest pair of new glasses. I love them so much + can't wait to pick them up sometime this/next week. I'm glad that the prescriptions are similar because that way I'll be able to alternate between my current pair and my newer pair. I tweeted a picture of my new pair, but the quality was pretty crappy so I'll just wait to post them until I pick them up + get to have them on my face. After that, we fled to Bloomingdale's where my mom spoiled me rotten with new boots, bras, make-up + underwear... She also proceeded to spoil herself with a new pair of Louis Vuitton wedges + a new Louis Vuitton bag. They look great on her + she deserves it. She works hard, plus her birthday is coming up on the 23rd. Lastly, we spent some time acting like pigs in Dylan's Candy Bar then headed to Patsy's to have some delicious dinner - If you live in NY + have never been there, you are definitely missing out on the most amazing Caprese appetizer + Margherita pizza. Speaking of birthdays, my dad's is this Thursday (the 18th)... I'm making him a flourless chocolate cake with raspberry sauce. I hope it turns out great because he's been looking forward to it. Valentine's Day weekend was nothing short of amazing, of course. The book that boobie got me was a nice surprise; we spent the weekend relaxing, having lunch at Cosi, watching Couples Retreat which was pretty good + snuggling. We intended to go ice skating early in the afternoon on Sunday, but we overslept like lazy slugs. I'm sure we'll get around to making up for it sometime soon. I'm super excited because boobie gets to come here the weekend of March 5th. We plan on going to Pommes Frites + Saint Mark's Place... I'd also like to bring him to Patsy's for some pizza, since of all the times he's visited here, I've never brought him there. I'm sure he'll love it. I think that's all for now. I'm finished with classes for winter semester + my English final is tomorrow morning @ 8:30... Once I conquer that, I'll be off for a few days, so I'm looking forward to it. Hope all is well with you guys + I hope you had a great Valentine's Day! :)

SNOW DAY.

This isn't even half of it.
I think these are my new favorite tights.
I got them around Christmas, but just started wearing them.
Anthropologie's tights are, in my opinion, the cutest.

It's raining gold glitter on my fingertips.
I wish I had a better picture,
but this glitter wasn't cooperating w/ flash.

Tuesday morning before class, 7something AM.

Well, today was a snow day! I spent a good portion of my day cleaning out my hectic closet. The first picture I posted isn't even half of my shoes, but I was pretty disappointed in myself because in that pile alone, there are at least 4 pairs that have never been worn. My new rule is that I'm not allowing myself to buy anymore shoes until all of the ones I own have been worn at least twice. I've gotten completely out of control with footwear. Aside from that pile, there are far more sneakers and an under-the-bed storage case full of sandals, flats and a few more open-toed heels (some of which I even forgot I owned). I'm giving at least 10 pairs of shoes away though + some clothes. I love going through my things and coming across clothing/shoes to donate. It's an annoying job, but it comes with a nice price. Since CUNY texted me last night informing me there was no school, my brother and I spent some quality time together. We ordered pizza and I baked brownies. They're good, of course. I'm having a date with my mom tomorrow, so I'm excited about that. I have an eye doctor's appointment at 3:30 then we're going to purchase some new glasses from my favorite eyewear boutique (Selima Optique). We're also going to Bloomingdales for bras, going to the Apple store and getting manicures+pedicures on Friday morning before she leaves for Jamaica. I'm so glad we're off from school on the 15th. That means this Valentine's Day weekend will be a long one. I'm not exactly sure what I'm looking forward to, but I am a tad bit excited. I have to pack to stay at my mom's + my clothes for this weekend... And I have to finish up getting boyfriend's things together for Valentine's Day. I hope he loves everything and I truly hope he enjoys the flowers I sent to his job - He knows they're coming (because I had to get all of the delivery information), he just has no idea what they look like, so I'm hoping the outcome is a positive one. What's everyone doing for Valentine's Day? I hope you all enjoy yourselves and are able to function and manage in this snow. Have a good one!

WELCOME FEBRUARY!

My new babies have arrived.
I honestly thought they'd be higher,
but they'll do.
I can't wait to wear them in Jamaica.
Just getting ready to bite some people.

I'm sure you all know this by now,
but this is what my hair really looks like.

Just a few cool things:
-February is finally here and it should be an interesting month.
January came and went pretty quickly,
but no real complaints over here.
-My English class is almost over:
The final is on the 17th... And we have no school on the 15th.
All in all, I've enjoyed the class and I'm really into the book
that we've been reading: Man's Search for Meaning by: Viktor Frankl.
Long Valentine's Day weekend? Yep, I think so.
-I got a B in my Ethics class.
Am I happy? No and I will be taking it up with the professor.
-You may have noticed that under the "I am..." section,
there's a line of links. Just the other day I decided to add my
Formspring link to my blog, Twitter + Tumblr pages.
I've had it for a few months, but I decided to start publicizing it now.
Feel free to ask me anything, knowingly or anonymously...
I'm more than happy to respond to any of your questions + comments.
-I got around to using one of the Palmer's coconut oil deep conditioning packs
and the outcome is positive so far.
Aside from the fact that your hair smells like coconut for DAYS
(I love the smell of coconut, but it almost made me nauseous a few times),
it does mask your hair, leaving it manageable, shiny and soft.
Hopefully it continues to produce positive results.
-As you may all know,
I have an unhealthy obsession w/ baking,
especially cupcakes.
I've come across a lot of blogs and whatnot offering recipes, tips
and showing a lot of pictures submitted by other bakers.
I look at them and I feel like I can match, if not top their work.
I'm really contemplating working towards opening a cupcake boutique.
My brother is the main person who is encouraging me to live out this plan,
but it requires a lot of time that I don't have, due to schooling.
I'm going to spend this year coming up with a few recipes and plans of my own
and I guess I'll just see where it takes me.

I think that's all for now.
Now onto cleaning my closet + finding things to give away,
then painting my nails w/ my best friend.

PS: I actually made a vlog that I haven't posted yet...
It's just a video of my scattered opinions on popular "issues".
I got the idea from an anonymous question I was asked
on Tumblr about my take on abortion.
The video is kinda messy and random,
do you guys think I should upload and post?
Just say the word.
