HAY THERE.

Just purchased these coconut oil deep conditioning protein packs.
I've been straightening my hair a lot over the past year or so...
I think more than I ever have in my entire life,
so you can just imagine the damage.
It isn't really noticeable, but I like for my hair to be healthy.
I'm testing out one of these packs tomorrow night.
If there's a +positive outcome, I'll also be picking
Palmer's coconut oil shampoo & conditioner this weekend.
Chanel - Rouge Allure lipstick in Obscure, 137.

Copper Mountain Copper, OPI.
This polish is so beautiful, I'm glad I picked it up.
It's a nice shade and it goes on super smooth.

Yay, Hello Kitty.

Picked up some Pocky from Chinatown in Philly this past weekend.
Strawberry cream, chocolate + coconut and chocolate = Try them!

I love these floral tights.
My dad thought my legs were tattooed allover,
it was priceless.
He said he wouldn't put it past me...
I guess he has a point. ;)

Today was my Ethics final, so that means that the course is over. I decided to take the all essay exam and I'm so glad I did, it was surprisingly easy. I can't wait to see my grades. I still have my English class until February 17th. This past Sunday night I ordered Mac's Snow Leopard operating system software. I actually didn't know for sure that I needed the Mac box set (Snow Leopard, iLife and iWork) in order to do a proper installation... So my mom is taking me to the Apple store on Thursday to get this situation fixed and out of the way. I've had my laptop since January of 2007, I'm still running on Tiger - Mac OS X Version 10.4.11, I feel that it's time for a small upgrade when it comes to the operating system. I'm excited to work with Snow Leopard and explore the new iLife, I hope it's well worth the 169$. My mom is also taking me back to my favorite eye-wear spot (the same place I got the glasses I have now) to get myself a new pair, can't wait for that. I'm craving frozen yogurt from this place Phileo on South Street in Philly... I hope they're open during this season because I plan on forcing my boyfriend to stop there this weekend. I'm still contemplating on getting my right clavicle pierced. I really want to, but I'm a tad hesitant because it's the body's natural reaction to reject surface piercings. If I were to get it, I'd have to get it at the same place I got my lip pierced back in 2008 (Infinite piercing in Philly). They were well experienced and I trust that they know what they're doing. It's an intricate piercing, so I have to be cautious and careful. That's all for now... I hope all is well with you guys. I plan on making another vlog when I'm not exhausted - Possibly tomorrow or sometime next week - Suggestions? (I know I still have to make the braid video, I just haven't worn it in a little while). Let me know how you're doing and what you're thinking! Ciao.

UPDATES: JUST A LITTLE SOMETHING.

SNAPSHOTS:
Latest nailpolish pick-ups:
A top coat and Siberian Nights by OPI.

Newest babies, can't wait to wear them in the warm weather.

My newest favorite make-up piece:
SPF12 Baby Balm lipstick by Vincent Longo.
Shade: La Dulceta - 23$.
(Currently on my nails: Merry Midnight - OPI.)

Just started using this Clean&Clear Deep Action Cream Cleanser.
I'm not crazy about it, mainly because it doesn't lather much - or even at all.
I definitely prefer their Morning Burst cleanser over this one.

Just a few of us this past weekend, having fun.
Boobie finally got his Jimmy Fallon tee.

Meh.
  • School is alright. One of my classes actually ends on Tuesday (the day of the final). I didn't do that great on the midterm, but I think I'm better prepared and I have been participating/doing all of my assignments, so I think I can save myself. As for English, I'm enjoying it. I feel more confident that I'll be able to focus on it more once this Ethics course ends on Tuesday.
  • My mom booked us another vacation for Spring Break in Jamaica. Just me, boobie, my mom and her boyfriend, pretty much how it was the first time around. We'll be there from March 31st until April 5th, staying in Negril, as always. Luckily this time around, my mom promised that she'll take us to Ocho Rios, since we haven't had the chance to see it yet. Can't wait, super excited... Definitely anxious to be in the warmer weather.
  • I feel like I may need to trim my hair, period.
  • I'm dying to get Mad As A Hatter by OPI (part of their Alice in Wonderland collection). I'm not too crazy about the other shades, but this one I'm in love with... I also can't wait to see the movie in March. I'm also looking forward to seeing Valentine's Day and maybe even Dear John - Both look super cute.
  • Boobie and I have been planning on visiting the Bodies exhibit in Philly. We'll do that in one of the upcoming weekends. I'm also craving Max Brenner or Hibachi - Valentine's dinner date? Maybe.
  • I've been picking up a few things for myself here and there - As well as some Valentine's Day presents for the boyfriend. I bought a cute little shirt dress this past weekend, can't wait until spring. I also ordered a few small items from Forever 21 with a giftcard that I had from a return. Speaking of gift cards, I have one for Bloomingdales and I'm planning on purchasing the cutest pair of shoes... But they want a crazy amount for shipping, so I'll have to go pick them up in store. Hopefully I can pick them up within this week - And I HOPE they still have them in store, in taupe. Wish me luck.
  • I'd also like to remind everyone that today marks a week since the earthquake hit Haiti. Let's not forget the devastation taking place... And let's continue to urge others to help out in any way they can. Let's keep hope alive for Haiti.
I think that might be all for now.
Hope all is well with everybody.

HELP HAITI.

I'm hope that you're all well aware of what's happened in Haiti.
If you aren't, please crawl out of your cave and smack yourselves.

For those of you willing:

I urge all of you to contribute and donate.
Haiti needs all of the help we can possibly give.
Being the poorest country on the Western Hemisphere,
it is the most densely populated with a population of 9million+ people.
There is no exact number of casualties as of yet,
but it is estimated that at least 100,000 to 500,000 are dead/wounded.
As of right now, both Trinidad&Tobago and Guyana donated 1million$ to Haiti
and Digicel (West Indian cell phone company) donated 5million$ -
Both of US currency value.
Obama
plans to give 100million$ in aid...
And promises Haiti, "You will not be forsaken".
HAITI IS IN A DESPERATE STATE OF EMERGENCY.

How you can do your part:

Text YELE to 501501 to donate 5$ towards relief efforts in Haiti.
Text HAITI to 90999 to donate 10$ towards the Red Cross.

YeleHaiti
is Wyclef Jean's foundation that is
determined to help Haiti as much as possible.
Hours after the earthquake, Wyclef made his way to
Haiti through the Dominican Republic and
he's currently there now,
contributing whatever way he possibly can.

UPS has donated 1million$ in cash and shipping services.
You can ship for FREE to Haiti, as long as the package is under 50lbs.
I don't know how long this will last, so please take advantage
and do whatever you can, no matter how small!

If you live in Brooklyn:
-One of my best friends on the HASA of Brooklyn
College has helped to organize a support group/relief fund.
They will be accepting supplies of all varieties.
Items should be shipped no later than Friday
and will be sent directly to Red Cross and Yele Haiti.
If you wish to donate,
you can on Brooklyn College's campus,
Ingersoll building, Room 0229.

You can also donate supplies and cash @
Brooklyn's own Coral Reef restaurant:
5314 Church Ave. btwn. 53rd & 54th.
6PM to 1AM.

I'd just like to remind all of you that every little bit counts.

Thanks for reading/contributing.

Update:

"The stench of death is overwhelming in Port au Prince".

Haiti's government is nowhere in sight and hasn't been
since the evening that the earthquake struck.
American Airlines
will also be flying out doctors/nurses
to Haiti for free, so please spread the word.
At this present moment, Port au Prince is NOT
welcoming anymore incoming air traffic,
due to clogged runways/air traffic hazards -
There is simply no more room, but there will be in due time.

On the way to Haiti, on our part:
NYC firefighter rescue troops, 2000 Marines
and 3500 US Army troops deployed from NC.
I hope some of our teams can help get this job done.

WE ARE ALL THEY HAVE.
Please, everybody... Anything you can give, please do ASAP.

2010: WEEKEND #1.

Boobie came to NYC this past weekend for NYE
and our anniversary, he left on Sunday.
He wasn't feeling well, but I'm glad we had
the chance to get out and do a few things.
On Friday, we had breakfast at the diner
and had dinner at one of our favorite spots:
Elmo.
(
Elmo @ 17th St. & 7th Ave.)
I had the
boneless chicken fried chicken, string beans
a
nd carrots w/ a mushroom gravy, it was delicious.

On Saturday,
we had brunch at
Cafeteria,
another one of my favorite spots.

(
Cafeteria @ 19th St. & 7th Ave.)
I had the
mac & cheese spring rolls,
blueberry lemonade and the burger sliders,

once again... So good.
After that, we headed off to the
Metropolitan
Museum of Art
on 82nd St. & 5th Ave.
It was enjoyable.
This painting looks just like me when I was a baby... Creepy.
We also stopped in the gift shop and picked up a few books.
The Met gave us a coupon for 10$ off our purchase,
so it was well worth it.
Boobie got a book on plagues and a book
on the different versions of the Last Supper.
I bought the book:
50 Artists You Should Know
by: Thomas Koster.
I haven't started reading it yet,
but I plan on beginning tonight.

He should be back the weekend of the 15th.
I'm thinking maybe we can visit the Museum of Sex,
or even the Guggenheim this time around.
Most definitely going back to Cafeteria
because that meal made my tummy happy.
But I think that's all for now.
:)

WELCOME TO 2010.

As most of you who read my blog know,
NYE is also me and my boyfriend's anniversary.
This NYE we made 2 years.
We celebrated w/ a lovely dinner @ Elmo in NYC.

Hope you all had a great NYE
and 2010 turns out to be amazing for you!
