For some reason, the older I get,
the quicker my summers seem to fly by.
My summers of 2006 and 2007 were so active.
I was such a free spirit in 2006 and in 2007,
I was working and still managing to do everything I wanted.
Including painting my room, going to every museum,
taking weekend vacations and lounging on Far Rockaway
beach at least once a week.
How did I do this?
I don't know.
Last summer, of course I took my weekend trip.
But work pretty much had complete control of my life.
I was sorta miserable during the week,
then the stress carried on over to my weekends.
You could tell by my attitude it just wasn't what I wanted.
This summer I'm taking a different approach.
I have a few things I'd like to accomplish:
1. Pick up painting again.
Preferably outdoor painting, in the backyard.
2. Start ballet class.
3. Visit the fabric store and start throwing more
things together, using my sewing machine.
4. More outdoor activities!
I'm trying to make everything I do outdoors.
5. Clean up my disaster of a garden/yard and do some planting.
Also if I clean it up, my dad will be able to BBQ more often, YAY.
6. LESS SHOPPING, seriously.
I have cut down a lot and I am proud.
7. LESS CLUTTER.
I'm trying to get rid of everything I own, lol.
8. Try whatever recipe I want to try -
Whether it be a drink recipe or a dinner recipe, why not?
10. More natural... Less make up, style products, whatever.
Seriously, it's too hot for this.
And of course,
I'll need to buckle down before I get back into school for the fall.
So I better get all of this energy out of my system.
I hope I can accomplish everything on my list.
Do you guys have any summer goals?
Share, if you will.
